Days of Inclusion is our annual national campaign aimed at directing the public attention to key challenges of Bulgarian schools.
This year, in the spotlight are children and the relations among them.
A nationally representative study on student wellbeing in grade 7, which we launched in 2018, revealed the alarming data that 44.7% of seven-grade students considered their school mates not to be kind persons.
The purpose of the campaign’s fourth edition, held under the motto “How about being nicer?”, is to challenge Bulgarian students to discover and share acts of kindness they witnessed at school and to be nicer to each other.
The message of our initiative was supported by the ideas and involvement of five-graders from
Elisaveta Bagryana Secondary School in Sofia. Key partners of the initiative are AYDE BG vloggers Ivaylo and Hristiyana who are the faces of the video.
They are the ones encouraging you to send your stories of kindness which you witnessed or experienced in school at
po-dobri@cie-bg.eu by 21 May at the latest.
10 of the best stories will be told in a special video on the AYDE BG channel, while five of the students who shared stories will have an exclusive fan meeting with Ivaylo and Hristiyana in Sofia in the beginning of June.
If you want to participate in the competition “How about being nicer?” and share your story of kindness, please make sure you have a declaration of your parents’ consent.
Under the campaign, a competition for teachers from all over the country was launched too on the topic
„I saw kindness in you”. Their challenge is to collect and tell stories of kindness they discovered in their classrooms, again by 21 May at
po-dobri@cie-bg.eu.
Further details about the competition are available here:
The best stories will be published on educational portal
www.priobshti.se.
Every story must be accompanied by a filled-in declaration of parent consent.
The winners of both competitions will be published by 31 May 2019 on the website of the Centre for Inclusive Education, www.cie.bg.
