We are renovating the old school in the village of Sturgel (built in 1930) to transform it into a cozy and magical Green Educational Center. The project involves the reconstruction of the building, originally built through voluntary work and donations from local residents nearly 100 years ago. The school ceased functioning in the 1980s and was later sold with the idea of becoming a retirement home. Today, as the property of the Association for Shared Learning ELA, we aim to restore some of its educational functions, turning it into a space for informal learning that blends traditional crafts with modern technologies. The project envisions accommodations for 64 children, two halls, an indoor stage, a bistro, a large veranda, and a 4-acre yard with demonstration and sports facilities. The workshop will include a cooking studio, a technical lab, and a music room. Partial completion is planned for 2025, with full completion by 2026. To date, over 800,000 BGN have been invested.
