With the end of the school year, the active work of children from Teteven and Brezovo with professionals of their communities
to become acquainted with different jobs and to discover unknown territories finished.
Children together with their teachers and mentors organized final events at the squares in Brezovo and Teteven and introduced the local community to their accomplishments during the year.
The holiday in Brezovo was held on June 1st. It was organized in cooperation with the municipality of Brezovo which took care of the stage and the vocal-theater programme. The professional field „Culture Management” participated in programme’s development. In parallel a Sports Feast for students in Hristo Smirnenski Secondary School were held. The children from each professional field form School Makes Sense Programme had stands showing the products of their work during the year – bird house, goose down pillows, computer programme, giving candies when a correct answer is given, honeycombs, tourist signs. Dashboards with photos followed the most memorable moments in the apiary, the factory, the hunting farm, the tourist center, the library and during the programming process. The children were happy to tell about their experience and were ready to include everyone in the world they have known.
The Holiday in Teteven was held on June 6th. Children demonstrated again to the whole city the lessons learned during the year. Veterinarians showed at the feast how animals should be treated to make them feel good and brought some nice dogs and a horse. Firemen demonstrated fire fighting skills and proudly took photos of themselves at the staircase of the fire truck. Confectioners made in minutes delicious candies in front of everyone's eyes and treated the guests. The gardeners gave pots of flowers raised by them. The little curators made their own exposition in the lobby of the Museum of History. The little adventurers pitched tents and pulled ropes and the provoked huge interest among children from the kindergarten, brought by the group of “Teachers” which did a great job to keep the attention of the little ones on the event’s performance.
During the both events, Iva Boneva, Executive Director of
Centre for Inclusive Education delivered greeting speeches and thanked local community, dedicated professionals and teachers for creating a happy school year for the children, from which they became wiser and confident in the choices they make.
