Dear friends, as you know Association for Shared Learning ELA is building a green educational center in the village of Styrgel.
Over the last two years we have invested more than 600 000 BGN and according to the plan the first stage of the renovation should be completed at the end of 2022. We had planned for stage one to complete the first floor, the courtyard and the workshop where we can run therapeutic and educational activities with children and young people.
In the current situation where many refugees from Ukraine are seeking asylum in Bulgaria, we are urgently changing our priorities and will leave the courtyard and workshop for better times, concentrating on equipping the sleeping rooms, bathrooms, kitchen and heating the building so that between 40-50 people, mostly women and children, can live and learn with us.
We are grateful to the people of the village of. Sturgel who welcomed the idea with open hearts and are willing to share their school and village for more children's games and smiles. We are also grateful to the administration of Gorna Malina municipality who can provide food, transport and places in kindergartens and schools in the municipality with renovated facilities and quality education for the children. We are also grateful to the donors who make it possible for our office in Sofia to be an educational classroom for children from Ukraine to play and learn.

Materials needed:
- Equipment for bathrooms - sanitary ware, tiles, faucets, grouting mixtures, paint for wet rooms;
- Kitchen equipment - tiles, cooker, fridge, ovens, crockery (we have already donated a convection oven and freezers);
- Paint, lumber, lighting, interior doors, bedding (we have 10 beds, chairs, desks, rugs, tables donated);
- Heat pump and air conditioners;
- Garden and household equipment for the kitchen and garden.
